For many years, the National Wrestling Alliance was a hot-bed for all talent, new and old, to showcase their true ability and potential inside a professional wrestling ring. The NWA helped mold the careers of such stars as “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, “King” Harley Race, Lou Thesz, Dusty Rhodes, the Briscos, the Funks, Ricky Steamboat, the Andersons, Tully Blanchard, Magnum TA, Ron Garvin, Barry Windham, and so many more.
Now, in the year 2009, NWA Main Event will strive to once again bring you that level of excellence as we introduce new stars into the world of wrestling, stars like Shawn Shultz, a 26 year old icon who has done more in this business than most his age. Stars like “Playboy” Scott Hayes, Steve-O, and Matt Boyce who have captivated many audiences young and old on various occasions.
We also bring you the grizzled veterans you’re used to being associated with the NWA. Guys like Jeff “the Crippler” Daniels, Doug Gilbert, the Moondogs, Frank Morelle, Jerry Lawler and so many more. 2009 will definitely be a good year for Main Event wrestling and the NWA as a whole.
